For the Joy (Hebrews 12:1-3 NIV)

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And yet I will show you the most excellent way.

13 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge,and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

New Song - It's Your Grace

"It's Your Grace" comes from the new Sovereign Grace Music project Grace Has Come (Songs from the Book of Romans). As the name suggests, each song is based on a portion of the book of Romans. We'll be learning several songs from the project this Fall. This particular song is based on chapters 9-11. Bob Kauflin writes, "How does one write a song based on Romans 9-11? This is our attempt. Doug Plank sent me the initial idea for the song, and I finished it while he was ministering over in Africa. I tried to communicate the thought that God’s sovereign grace is a cause not for theological disputes, but for humble rejoicing and grateful worship. After all, that’s where Paul ends up at the end of chapter 11." You can hear an audio clip of the song by going to the post that lists the Fall '13 songs and clicking on the album title.
